We never approach any potential acquirer without your prior knowledge. Confidentiality is paramount, and everything we do on your behalf is seen, reviewed and approved by you, giving you complete confidence in our approach. Your team are experts at speaking personally to decision-makers across the world – and these senior professionals only discover your company’s identity once they have signed a binding Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Listening to the market is key. We capture, assess, and analyse feedback from acquirers, and react accordingly. We seek to discover what motives are driving interest, and respond and adapt intelligently. At this point we follow up expressions of interest, and seek to progress companies to the all-important first meeting stage.

Because we aim to bring multiple interested parties to the meeting table, we create a sense of competition around your business. The first meeting is all about discussing mutual synergies, and the opportunity your company represents. From there, we seek to drive a specific time frame for offers and further negotiation – momentum is key in any deal.

This can mean acquirers and investors themselves are in ‘sales’ mode, looking to pitch themselves to you as potential partners. We follow up interest and actively seek opening offers – which are always countered, irrespective of value. We know acquirers and investors have a range of figures in mind, so our job is to create a compelling business case for acquisition, and your experienced Deal Leader will bridge the experience gap between seller and acquirer.

Once an offer is mutually agreed, the intensive due diligence process begins. We act as a coordinator for all parties – buyer, seller and legal representation – and we help both buyer and seller move beyond any point of contention and maintain the focus and the pace of a deal.
